About Tool Answers
I’ve loved building things my whole life. When I was young my dad taught me how to make small items using wood in our garage, and ever since then I was hooked. Although I’m not a licensed contractor myself, I have spent time learning about welding, maintaining my tractor, installing sprinkler systems, and even framed my own house.
Looking back on it now, if there’s one thing I regret it’s not asking for enough help. I sometimes felt like my questions were too basic to bother asking someone.
However, I soon realized that you shouldn’t let fear of asking questions hold you back. All of us need help to figure this stuff out, and there’s almost always multiple ways to get something done. If someone doesn’t explain how to do something and why, it can be really difficult to untangle how to tackle your specific situation.
With what I’ve learned, I wish I would have asked more questions earlier – maybe then I wouldn’t have wasted as much time and money on the wrong equipment for the job!
My brother and I started this site along with my dad to share some of what I’ve learned. But over time we’ve found a small group of experts to help answer many different types of tool questions. All of us genuinely enjoy helping you solve tough problems. We want to help you avoid learning things the hard way (the way we often did).
We’re here to help get your tool questions answered, and to make sure you find the best solutions for your application. Our goal for the site is to build a community that can learn from each other, to help us all spend less time figuring things out and more time getting things done.
